The Wrap

Imagine "Frankenstein" told with no spoken lines, just handmade shadow puppets, old-fashioned overhead projectors and live music. That's what Manual Cinema did at Chicago's Studebaker Theater, where the show opened with lightning and thunder and the audience could watch the actors work the projectors. It ran Oct. 28 through Nov. 1. Spooky season, stretched a little longer.
