DEVELOP MUSICAL THEATER SKILLS

Sing, Dance, and Act in Our Fun Musical Theatre Class for Kids!

Does your child love the spotlight? Then this six-week musical theatre class is a great fit! Students build their acting, singing, and dancing skills. At the same time, they practice focus, teamwork, and stage presence.

Throughout the session, students explore songs and scenes from favorite shows. These include Annie , The Lion King Kids , Shrek the Musical , and The Little Mermaid . Each class also features improv and acting games. These games introduce new skills and then help students grow them week by week.

This camp-style class welcomes new and returning students alike. Here, imagination, expression, and storytelling shine. Most of all, it suits students who are ready to move past the basics and build stronger performance skills.

The Presentation

At the end of the session, students share a final presentation with family and friends. In this Level Two Presentation, they perform the scenes and songs they rehearsed all session. Students sing together in one large group or in several small groups. Plus, each song includes simple choreography.

At Gorton Drama Studio , students learn foundational acting skills through the teaching methods developed by Jeremy Kruse, author of The Young Actor’s Handbook (Applause Acting Series, 2017) and the upcoming The Young Actor’s Technique . Throughout the day, students strengthen stage presence, projection, active listening, and the ability to create believable characters. At the same time, they build confidence, overcome stage fright, and develop valuable communication skills. Most importantly, every class encourages students to discover more about themselves, better understand the world around them, and express themselves through the art of theater.
