About this event
Haley Marcin is a Chicago based dance artist. In 2019, she graduated from The University of North Carolina Greensboro with a BFA in Dance. Haley trained and performed in Italy on full scholarship, then apprenticed with the Michael Mao Dance Company in New York. In Chicago, Haley performed with Aerial Dance Chicago, Project Bound Dance, Still Inspired, and has collaborated with many Chicago choreographers. She is a certified yoga/aerial yoga instructor and teaches throughout Chicago. Haley’s class aims to find more space and freedom in the joints while working towards greater range of motion and mobility. The material incorporates ideas and concepts from Safety Release Technique, originated by B.J. Sullivan. We’ll explore moving in and out of the floor with ease and efficiency, and will culminate with phrase work that plays with power, flow, suspension, fall, and lots of legs!
