About this event

Not everyone can put food on the table this Thanksgiving. Since 1999, Cranksgiving (cranksgiving.org) has been celebrated in 100s of cities around the USA. We encourage you to ride your bike to a local grocery store and pick up a few items to donate to a local food bank.

Once again, Trek HP will be hosting a ride from the shop. It will be a social pace. About 20 miles, mostly on paved paths with a few quiet roads.

The event is open to everyone. Bring family and friends.

Butts in saddles ready to go at 10:30am. The Trek HP shop opens at 10am if you need anything and to sign a ride waiver.

Bring a couple of non-perishable food items to donate to the Highland Park Food Pantry. See more information here and a list of appropriate donation items. https://www.morainetownship.org/food-pantry

If you don't want to ride, you can hike the Skokie Valley Trail.

If you can't attend the day of the ride, bring food donations to the shop between November 1-18.

Helmets are mandatory Flat kit (tube, inflator, tire irons, etc.) Front and rear lights highly recommended Bring hydration and nutrition to get you through a 20 mile ride.

Rain cancels ride.
