About this event
Step into the shoes of a displaced family in this powerful, interactive Refugee Journey Simulation hosted by First Baptist Church of Oak Park. In this 1.5-hour immersive experience, participants will take on the roles of refugees forced to flee their homelands, navigating complex challenges, true-life stories, and critical survival decisions. This educational program is proudly presented in partnership with Exodus World Service, an organization dedicated to mobilizing communities by educating churches, connecting volunteers, and empowering people to welcome and befriend newly arrived refugees.
Following the interactive simulation, attendees are invited to stay for light refreshments and an engaging community conversation centered around empathy and understanding. This special educational event is completely FREE and open to all members of the public seeking to learn more about the global refugee experience and local resettlement efforts.
