About this event
ESCÁNDALO is a comedy show pa’ la cultura!
Since January 2024, we’ve been a Latine comedy collective showcasing local Latine excellence right here in Chicago. Over 100 shows in, we’ve only ever had one rule: everyone on the lineup is Latine. Period, point blank. We’re here to connect with ALL our Latines and remind you of your Latinidad, whether you speak the language or not, grew up living it or not, or aren’t living it right now. Our comedy is rooted in improv, which is all about acting and community. We work together to bring our stories to the stage so you can see yourself reflected up there. And we promise to take care of y’all. We’ll never make you the bit like you’d get at a stand up show.
We’re closing out our third year at Collaboraction Theater in Humboldt Park, and in the spirit of collaboration, we’re teaming up with local collectives to introduce you to the melting pot that is ESCÁNDALO!
