Teen Open Studio: Clay Bodies

About this event

Explore depictions of the human form on view in Body and Being in African Art , and learn handbuilding techniques to bring your own figures to life in air-dry clay. This program is designed for teens ages 13-18. All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is needed. Please reach out to [emailprotected] if you have any questions. We're hosting monthly open studio hours for high school students on Chicago Public School nonattendance days to co-create a communal place that is not home or school, but a youth-centeredthird space. Explore the museum, make art, eat snacks, and hang out with fellow teen creatives!
