It’s Nonfiction November, and we’re diving right into our next nonfiction read: The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater.

This Stonewall Book Award winner and New York Times bestseller tells the true story of an agender teen who was set on fire by another teen while riding a bus in Oakland, California. Journalist Dashka Slater goes beyond the simple narrative of right and wrong to show something more complicated and more heartbreaking. This is a book that has been banned or challenged in several states.

Join us on Saturday, November 14, for discussion and snacks! The Ace Book Club, a collaboration between AforAce and Gerber/Hart Library and Archives, is a welcoming space for aces, allos, and allies to explore the diverse world of asexuality through literature.
