Exploring a Community-Led Future for the ALTAR Space

About this event

Imagine… a new, member-led collective that makes Chicago a hub of consciousness, healing, and Divine Feminine leadership.

Following Kathy’s announcement that she will not be renewing ALTAR’s lease at the end of 2026, a group of members has been exploring whether the space might continue through a new, community-led model.

So far, they see three pillars of this emerging vision:

• A collective of local practitioners who build sustainable livelihoods while stewarding the space.

• An urban sanctuary that draws leading national and international teachers for immersive, multi-day experiences.

• A circle of women who gather and learn here, with the chance to help shape what comes next.

As this vision takes shape, women from within the current community and beyond are invited to come together to imagine what’s possible.

Join us if you feel called to bring your wisdom, creativity, talents, connections, resources, or financial support to the exploration. Together, we’ll refine the idea and discover whether there is enough shared interest and commitment to bring this vision to life.
