Anchor Open Studio Hours

About this event

What stories, sounds, and memories live in Ellis Park?

As our Anchor Curatorial Resident, Brother El is opening the studio each month to listen, connect, and record oral stories from Ellis Park and neighborhood participants. His practice begins with listening—to the rhythms already moving through a place and the people who give it meaning.

These open studio hours are an invitation to share a story, a memory, a perspective, or simply a conversation. Together, we’re building a living archive of the neighborhood—one that honors where we’ve been, reflects where we are, and helps imagine what comes next.

Community is not just the audience. Community is part of the composition.

Come listen. Come share. Be part of the frequency.

Open to all ages, family-friendly.
