About this event
Renée Green · 12m / 70m · DCP
Film as correspondence. Come Closer traverses Lisbon, San Francisco, and Brazil, connecting Brazilian artist-filmmaker Karim Aïnouz and Green's brother Derrick Green, lead singer of the Brazilian band Sepultura, with the filmmaker's own Lisbon-based work produced in the early 1990s. In Endless Dreams, four women’s reflections on their home islands — Manhattan, Mallorca, and islands in the San Francisco Bay — are transmitted through letters, dreams, and ocean currents.
