Pokémon GO League Challenge - November 2026

About this event

Join us for our November Pokémon GO League Challenge, taking place at Lincoln Park Zoo during GO Wild Area: Global! The tournament will start at 12:30pm, with team list submission from 12pm to 12:30pm.

We will be playing in the southeast corner of the zoo, just past the Regenstein Center for African Apes near the school bus drop-off. See the map below if you need help!

Entry is FREE for players in all age divisions - as such, prizing will be minimal, but we'll be sure to have at least some goodies :) Top finishers will earn Championship Points toward an invitation to compete at the Pokémon World Championships .

The tournament will follow the GO Single Day structure as detailed in the Tournament Rules Handbook , meaning multiple rounds of Swiss potentially followed by a single elimination top cut. All rounds will be best of 3. The number of rounds will be based on number of players in the event. As with all local-level Pokémon GO Championship Series events, this tournament will be in the Great League, with restrictions as listed in the official rules (such as the Banned Pokémon List ).

Throughout the day, DTC will be hosting a meetup for GO Wild Area: Global ! Be sure to check in on Campfire for extra goodies.

NOTE: Tournaments may be cancelled if less than four players are registered as of 10pm the night prior. If this occurs, registrants will be refunded and notified via email.

What should I bring?

• Your Player ID number. If you don't have a Player ID, you can get one on the Pokémon website .

• A filled out team list. A blank list can be found on the Pokémon website - there will be blank lists available at the tournament as well. If you have your list(s) ready ahead of time, you can email it to goodgames@chicagopokemon.com .

• A charged phone for Pokémon GO - we'll have portable chargers, but be as charged up as possible!

• Yourself! Make sure you arrive on time. If you are late, you may not be able to play in the event, so make sure to arrive in time to submit your list!
